on the road

Hiya! This outfit is from a few weeks ago; some of my original pictures were blurry so I had to retake them and it took me a lifetime to get around to it. I love the new(ish) lens I have but because I usually put it on auto to be as quick as possible when I force my mum/sister to take pictures, it means the depth of field/part of the photo in focus is so narrow and it's really difficult for them to see if a picture is completely focused through the viewfinder. I think next time I use it I'll have to figure out a more fool proof way to set it up though.

Cardigan - Urban Outfitters but secondhand off eBay - £12
Top - Topshop - £18 with student discount
Skirt - ASOS/Boohoo - £9 with student discount
Shoes - Asos - £36 with student discount
Necklace - ASOS - £4.50 with student discount

It is a bit of an impractical skirt because it is too long for me, it definitely takes perseverance to wear it. The new dog my family just got also started to chew up one of my shoes, which explains the mangled end of the one on my right foot.

Yesterday I was off work, which is unusual and definitely a novelty. Instead I was in London for a University Open Day, which I usually hate because they drag on for so long, but this one was actually quite helpful. Following that my mum and I went to Wagamamas before going to the Soho Theatre to see Jessie Cave do a (comedy) show. I've mentioned her before on here because I saw her last show which I really loved, and this one was equally as good. She is doing another run in December if you're interested.

I've also decided I might start posting more than this kind of thing on here and branch into more writing/commentary. A lot of what I write alongside posts like these is inane, and I want to practice and develop my writing because I've finished doing essay based subjects in school which I actually kind of miss. I'm not totally sure but I basically want to make the most of this space and give me a reason to be productive. We'll see!!!

Thank you for reading,

Hollie
